I qualified in 2014 with an advanced diploma in therapeutic counselling from the College of Holistic Medicine in Glasgow, which is accredited by the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy).
Since then I have gained individual accreditation with the BACP in 2021.
Other courses completed are,
Working with relational trauma,
Safeguarding and child protection, level 3, adults and children.
Understanding autism, level 3
Mindfulness, MBSR adults and children.
Up-to-date member of the PVG scheme.
Anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, and bereavement are some of the different types of difficulties that clients come to counselling to explore with me.
I have knowledge and lived experience of working with clients who identify as neurodiverse.
Alongside a special interest in clients living with peri/menopausal symptoms and having recently completed a CBT course in managing menopausal symptoms through the British menopause society.
Finding the right counsellor can be an overwhelming experience. I know it can be difficult to think about asking for help outside of your friends and family, however, I firmly believe that when given the right support to explore any issues, we all have the inner strength to grow, change, and move forward.
