Hello, I'm Arlyn Bolton.
I am an integrative counsellor and EMDR therapist with over 20 years' experience working in caring professions. Throughout my career, I have supported people through a wide range of challenges and life experiences, which has shaped my belief that every person deserves to be met with compassion, understanding, and respect.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting. My aim is to create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on different therapeutic approaches to create support that is tailored to your individual needs. Rather than expecting you to fit a particular model of therapy, I work collaboratively with you to find an approach that feels helpful and meaningful.
I qualified in 2014 with an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and achieved individual BACP accreditation in 2021. I am committed to ongoing professional development and have undertaken additional training in EMDR, CBT approaches, mindfulness, relational trauma, safeguarding, menopause support, and supporting neurodivergent clients.
I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, addiction, bereavement, and significant life changes.
I also have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent clients and those navigating perimenopause and menopause, recognising the unique challenges that can arise during these experiences.
I believe that therapy can provide a space to better understand yourself, process difficult experiences, and make meaningful changes in your life. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply feel that something isn't quite right, we can work together to explore what is happening and find a way forward that feels right for you.
